Therapeutic Parenting with PACE
This program will provide training and support to parents with a desire to develop attachment focused, trauma-informed parenting strategies to benefit their children and foster a securely attached relationship. This 12 session program is designed for new parents, parents of young children, pre-adoptive or adoptive parents, kindship placements, and foster parents.

Bimonthly sessions are being scheduled to accommodate interest. These are likely to be held on the weekend and/or evening times to provide flexibility and convienience to working parents. This is based upon interest and participation.
There are supplemental parent coaching sessions available weekly, biweekly or monthly to supplement the training and support the program implementation.

Dr. Marci Martel has a Ph.D. in Family Psychology. She has years of experience working as a therpeutic foster parent, working with families involved with child protection, and treating trauma in children and adults. She and her husband have experience with adoption. She will be faciliating this training with assistance from other clinical staff.

Program Summary
This program offers 12 group sessions that will provide an relevant overview of the core concepts of attachment, interpersonal neurobiology, trauma and child development.
There are three core concepts:
1) Making sense of the impact of developmental trauma
2) Providing a trauma-informed PACE based model of parenting
3) Developing self-care practices as a caregiver
